Because of the promotion when updating to Nagios Core 4.5.7, I tried Nagios-CSP (NagiosXI).
But I never would pay for it.
If I had to pay, I would use PRTG.
NagiosXI is not intuitiv, you'll never find what you need.
Strange error messages, e.g. checking traffic of switchports works with SNMP, but the state of switchports shows "SNMP error". So what to do with such info?
SNMP seems to be correct, because traffic is shown.
But then SNMP error for status of switchport?

Hey kuchenmann,

Thanks for giving Nagios-CSP a shot. It can be a bit tricky finding things at first, one thing that may help find what you are looking for is our search feature if you are using one of our Neptune themes.

As for the SNMP errors do you happen to have the exact error you are seeing? If you can provide that we can try to help diagnose the issue you are seeing.

Hello @kuchenmann,

Nagios XI has a search feature in the Neptune theme, which allows you to search for any page in the application as well as any hosts/services you have. You can activate this feature using Ctrl + K or selecting the search bar in the header.

If you're getting errors with your Nagios XI checks, you should be able to get more details by checking /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/cmdsubsys.log
