  • Use Nagios to Check if You're Vulnerable to the FREAK Security Vulnerability 4 Mar 2015 | 10:00 am

Yesterday, March 3, 2015, a major SSL/TLS security vulnerability known as the FREAK Vulnerability (CVE-2015-0204) was revealed. The vulnerability allows for attackers to intercept HTTPS connections between vulnerable clients and servers and force them to use 'export-grade' cryptography, which can then be decrypted or altered. We at Nagios have made a plugin available that makes it easy for you to check the vulnerability of your infrastructure. If you are already using Nagios Core or Nagios XI to monitor your infrastructure, this easy-to-use plugin can notify you if your system is susceptible to the FREAK vulnerability. Additionally, a web-based version of the plugin is available for you to try immediately via the link below.
