Nagios Core 3.2.1 Released

Nagios Core 3.2.1 has just been released and can be downloaded from www.nagios.org/download. This latest stable release include several bug fixes, including fixes for compilation under Fedora and Solaris and incorrect check scheduling when time changes occur. Changelog is available here.

Nagios is RedHat's Standard Alerting System

We're happy to inform the Nagios Community that Nagios is used as RedHat's standard alerting system. Nick Otto gave a presentation at the RedHat Summit in Chicago earlier this month, in which he covers Nagios and other great OSS tools that are used inside one of the front-runners in commercial Open Source. Survey Says: 7 Out of 10 Geeks Prefer Nagios

Actually, 6.88172043 geeks out of 10 prefer Nagios, but we like to round to make it easy for the non-geeks out there. :-) The Geek Stuff (thegeekstuff.com) recently ran a survey on favorite monitoring tools. Nagios was by far the most popular tool among geeks! Probably because you can do just about anything with it. Nothing makes a true geek happier than mashing together some great applications and ideas to create the next mega-wonder. Rock on!
